Android 5.0.1 Lollipop ROM leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S4

The leaked ROM seems to be an official test build straight from Samsung’s servers.

Lollipop has failed to make it to even 0.1 percent of Android devices since it was released in November last year, but manufacturers have certainly been working hard at getting the latest version of the OS out to users. We’ve seen early Lollipop builds for various Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S4, in action over the past couple of months. Now, adventurous Galaxy S4 owners can take Android 5.0 for a spin thanks to a test build that has leaked on the internet.

The leaked build is based on Android 5.0.1 and seems to be for the Chinese variant of the device, though it is said to be working on several Exynos models. As for its stability, users report that most major features and sensors work, suggesting this build is close to the final version that will roll out over the air in the coming months. As usual, trying out a leaked build can cause issues for some users, though for those unwilling to risk an early version of Lollipop on their costly device, there’s always a video comparing Android 4.4 and 5.0 on the Galaxy S4 to check out.
