Android 4.0 ICS update slowly rolling out for Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi

Motorola Xoom

Motorola Xoom owners (in US) rejoice. The Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is slowly rolling out to users in USA, starting last night. However, the update is only for the Wi-Fi model only, and there's no word yet as to when it will be available to users in other countries.

Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi owners in US are getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, starting last night. The company has promised an update the Android ICS six weeks after receiving the core code, though the update is reportedly to be for the Wi-Fi version of the Xoom tablet at this point in time. To receive the update, you need to be connected over a Wi-Fi connection. If you are not connected via Wi-Fi, or your Motorola XOOM is off when the notification arrives, you will see the notification when you next connect to a Wi-Fi network.
