Android 2.2 Froyo comes to HTC Wildfire

Good news for owners of the HTC Wildfire. According to a Facebook discussion post, the Android smartphone will be getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update, starting this week in Europe. And yes, other parts of the world will be getting it too.

About a week ago, HTC brought the Android 2.2 Froyo to the HTC Legend smartphone in Europe with no word as to the availability in other parts of the world. However, the update has found its way to other countries including Singapore.

And now, the Taiwanese phone maker is playing “Santa” once more this festive season by fulfilling the requests of the other users who are using the HTC Wildfire, bringing them the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the phone. Yes, according to the company in the Facebook discussion post, the update will be rolled out this week in Europe and the rest of the world by February next year. It is likely owners in Singapore may get earlier, thus it is advisable to check your phone update frequently.
