After the leaked benchmarks of the Radeon RX 480, benchmark numbers of the Radeon RX 470 have also been spotted online.
The benchmarks were run by AMD in its performance labs last month on a system comprising an Intel Core i7 5960X processor clocked at 3.0 GHz, 16GB of memory, and a Radeon RX 470 (110W) graphics card. For comparison purpose, the same benchmarks were also conducted using an AMD Radeon R9 270X card (180W).
As can be seen in benchmark charts below, the Radeon RX 470 is quite impressive, managing scores significantly higher than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 and comes very close to the GeForce GTX 970. In the 1080p game benchmarks, the RX 470 shows pretty significant gains over the Radeon R9 270X.
With a low power requirement of just 110W and a price tag of around $150, the Radeon RX 470 should prove to be quite popular. Details regarding the exact price and availability are yet to be shared by AMD.
