The 4GB variant of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card will carry a MSRP of $149.
The 8GB variant of the card will be priced at $179, which is fairly decent as well. The entry-level 400 series card, the Radeon RX 460 is likely to become quite popular as well, with a starting price of just $99 for the 2GB variant and $119 for the 4GB variant.
Both the Radeon RX 470 and the Radeon RX 460 will go on sale on June 29th, alongside the Radeon RX 480. AMD has apparently made sure that retailers have sufficient stock of all the Radeon 400 series cards before launch, hoping to lure consumers away from rival NVIDIA’s offerings. Unlike AMD, NVIDIA’s new Pascal-based GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1080 cards are in short supply, allowing retailers to begin charging a premium on the cards.
