AMD Radeon R9 Fury X beats NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti in 4K gaming, reveals official benchmark

While AMD hasn’t yet lifted the embargo on Radeon R9 Fury X benchmarks, an official benchmark from the AMD reviewers guide has leaked today. The official benchmark seems to show the Fury X enjoying a lead over the NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti in 4K gaming.

The official benchmark compares the performance of the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X against NVIDIA’s GTX 980 Ti in a number of popular modern games. In some games, the difference between the two cards is quite insignificant, while in a few others such as Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 4, and Batman: Arkham Origins, the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X seems to enjoy a significant lead over the GTX 980 Ti.

Since the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X comes with only 4GB of HBM memory, it is interesting to see that the card doesn’t seem to be affected by the lower VRAM compared to the GTX 980 Ti. Of course, a clear picture will only emerge next week when unbiased reviews start turning up online.
