Futuremark 3DMark Vantage

Futuremark’s 3DMark Vantage is the world’s most popular 3D benchmark. A DirectX 10 benchmark, Vantage has been around for a very long time; we are now seeing single GPUs easily scoring nearly 2.5 times more than what one could score when the benchmark was first released.

Nope, the Radeon HD 6970 doesn’t quite catch even the GeForce GTX 570. The Radeon HD 6950, on the other hand, performs around HD 5870 level.

Resident Evil 5 Benchmark

Resident Evil 5 is a survival-horror third-person shooter.

Test settings:

  • DirectX 10 rendering mode,
  • 8x anti-aliasing, and
  • in-game details set to highest available

The Radeon HD 6970 catches the GeForce GTX 570 and the GeForce GTX 580 nearly at high resolutions.

The Radeon HD 6950 again performs just slightly better than the previous-generation HD 5870.
