AMD R9 470 and R9 480 rumored to make official debut at Computex 2016

AMD R9 480

According to a few reports, NVIDIA won’t be the only one to debut next-gen cards at Computex this year. Rival AMD is also apparently going to unveil the Radeon R9 470 and the R9 480 at Computex next month.

The Radeon R9 470 will reportedly be passed on Baffin (Polaris 11) GPU with a TDP of below 50W. The Radeon R9 480 on the other hand is tipped to be based on Ellesmere (Polaris 10) GPU with a TDP between 110-135W.

Meanwhile VR-World is suggesting the Polaris 10 will include 2304 cores, 36 Enabled Core Clusters, 256-bit memory controller, and 8GB of GDDR5 memory (GDDR5X when it becomes available).

None of the above details have so far been confirmed, so we will need to wait longer to find out if these rumored specs turn out to be accurate or not.
