Alleged spy shots of Xiaomi’s 6.4″ Max phablet crop up online

Xiaomi Max

The alleged front panel of Xiaomi’s upcoming phablet has cropped up online.

Xiaomi recently conducted an online poll to name its next phablet and ultimately the “Max” name was favored the most. The “Max” will definitely live up to its name as it is expected to feature a humongous 6.4” sized display. The resolution remains a mystery for now, but we do expect to see 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution on such a large display, in order to achieve a very high pixel density comparable to other flagship devices.

Meanwhile, the leaked spy shots show only the front panel of the smartphone, so don’t really have much to look at. However, what does seem pretty obvious is that Xiaomi Max will feature the same signature Xiaomi design with ultra-thin side bezels and capacitive buttons on the front. No physical home button can be seen on the front, which suggests the fingerprint sensor is likely to be positioned at the back.
