Two alleged renders of the Huawei P10 have been posted on China’s Weibo microblogging site today, hinting at two different variants. While one variant will feature a flat display, the other one will come with a dual-curved display.
Huawei’s latest flagship phablets – Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro too happen to be quite similar, with the Mate 9 featuring a flat 5.9-inch Full HD display while the Mate 9 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch dual-curved Quad HD AMOLED display. However, it isn’t clear yet if the Huawei P10 flat screen and dual-curved variants will differ from one another in terms of screen size and resolution.
According to rumors, the Huawei P10 is going to be powered by the Kirin 960 octa-core chipset under the hood, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The 4GB variant will ship with 64GB of onboard storage while the 6GB RAM variant will include 128GB of built-in storage. The flat screen variant is expected to sport a 5.5-inch sized display with 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution, a significant upgrade over the 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution on the P9. At the back, the P10 could come with a dual-camera setup, as can be seen in the leaked renders. However, unlike the P9, it appears the P10 could come with a physical home button on the front, although the fingerprint scanner seems to be positioned at the back.
The Huawei P10 is expected to be made official in the second quarter of next year.
