According to a new report from VentureBeat, Alcatel could soon launch two new Idol 4 smartphones – the Idol 4 Pro and the Idol 4 Mini.
The Idol 4 Pro, as we know already, is going to be a flagship Windows 10 Mobile smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. The Idol 4 Mini on the other hand will be a much more affordable smartphone running on Android.
The Idol 4 Mini will purportedly feature a 5.0-inch 720 x 1280 HD resolution and could be powered by either a quad-core MediaTek MT6738 or the octa-core MT6750 chipset with multiple memory configurations. Depending on the variant, the Idol 4 Mini could include 1/2/3GB of RAM and 8/16/32GB of onboard storage. At the back, it will sport a 13MP primary shooter while on the front you’re going to get a 5MP unit for video calls and selfies. Keeping the lights on will be a decent 2400mAh capacity battery. As visible in the render, the smartphone features a physical home button on the front that also embeds a fingerprint scanner.
