Adobe PDF Apps Augmented: Mobile Edits, Photoshop-like Spot Removal

Adobe has introduced new PDF-oriented features on its Acrobat, Reader and Scan apps that will improve productivity with thoughtful, user-oriented updates accessible anywhere.

Acrobat Pro DC now lets users edit PDFs on their iOS or Android devices with the Acrobat Reader mobile app, with the ability to amend text, adjust formatting and rotate, resize and add images easily. This will benefit users who have to make minor urgent edits to their documents or presentations.

Users will also be able to access one-touch compression and password protection from within the File menu, and better collaborate with improved integration with Box. Box and Adobe users will be able to collaborate and edit fully without the need to change applications be it on desktop or smartphone.

Forms with multiple signatories will also be more easily prepared with the new Prepare Forms tool, giving users greater ability to edit and create forms, as well as including multiple signers – perfect for contracts.

Adobe Scan has also received augmentations that cleans up creases, folds, stains, smudges and other artefacts with an all-new cleanup tool – the first of its kind in the market. Bringing over high-level functionality from professional tools like Photoshop and Lightroom, users can access professional, clean-looking scans ready for a high-level meeting or presentation.
