Acer’s new Liquid Leap wearables can measure your stress levels

Smart wearable devices so far have been able to measure various things ranging from step count to your heart rate. Acer has now unveiled new wearable bands that can also measure your stress levels in addition to everything else the other wearable bands can do.

Acer announced three new wearable bands today – Liquid Leap Fit, Liquid Leap Active and Liquid Leap Curve. The Liquid Leap Fit and the Liquid Leap curve both feature a stress sensor with two gold-plated pads that can measure your stress levels based on galvanic skin response.

Acer Liquid Leap Fit features a 1-inch touchscreen display and interchangeable bands. In addition to the usual fitness tracking features such as tracking your steps, the band also includes a heart-rate sensor and a stress sensor.

The Acer Liquid Leap Curve offers similar features as the Liquid Leap Fit but gets a curved touchscreen and battery and a more premium design.

The Liquid Leap Active is the least expensive of the three new wearables announced today. It features a 1-inch touchscreen and can do basic fitness tracking such as measuring calories burned and step count. The band is waterproof and Acer will give users the option of choosing custom bands for the Liquid Leap Active in the near future.

No information yet on pricing and availability of these new wearables from Acer.
