A-DATA Debuts New SSD with Improved Performance

Engadget reports that A-DATA has announced a new 2.5″ SATA II SSD 300 Plus, a next generation Solid State Drive with increased performance. By how much you say ? Lets check it out.

Engadget reports that A-DATA has announced a new 2.5″ SATA II SSD 300 Plus, a next generation Solid State Drive (SSD) with increased performance.

The new generation of SSD by A-DATA boasts an increased performance of read speeds by up to 40% while boosting write speeds by around 60% when compared to a “regular SSD.”

It was mentioned that the drive utilizes a special mobile SDRAM to achieve the sustained read rate of 250MB/sec and write rate of 160MB/sec.

Sizes available are are in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB flavors. Prices are not officially known yet
