Apple’s next iPad Pro might be smaller in size when it comes to the display, but a new rumor says the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will come with a better camera. The 12-megapixel camera, the same as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, to be exact. 9to5Mac reports that internal prototypes of the new iPad Pro are using a 12-megapixel camera sensor, and it shouldn’t be surprising that Apple is now improving the camera experience on its tablets following the jump in resolution on the iPhone camera.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is expected to be launched on March 22nd alongside Apple’s new 4-inch iPhone SE, and apart from the upgraded camera, it is expected to be mostly the same as the current iPad Pro in terms of hardware specs. Whether the smaller screen allows the same “Pro” usage as on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro remains to be seen, though the presence of similar software features and processing grunt (thanks to Apple’s A9X processor) should make up for the reduced screen estate.
