4G Upload Speeds in Singapore Have Been Tripled with Starhub

Just today, Nokia announced together with StarHub that they managed to  successfully triple the peak 4G upload speed to 150Mbps in this region’s first trial. The impressive feat was only a possibility with Nokia’s carrier aggregation technology and the 64 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) technique.

Starhub plans to try pushing out its plans commercially in Marina Bay and Orchard around the time of  year-end celebrations and epic events like countdown parties. Of course, those customers with devices that are 4G-compatible will be able to enjoy a speedier mobile data experience while sharing high definition videos and photos in real time.

By 2017, Starhub hopes to be able to deplooy this technology nationwide.
