According to trusted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is currently finding it difficult to implement the 3D Touch technology on larger displays, which is likely to delay the technology’s arrival on iPads.
The iPad Air 3 due in 2016 will not be 3D Touch-capable due to production issues, claims the analyst. That possibly means the first iPad models equipped with the 3D Touch will only be released in the year 2017.
As for the iPhone 7, Kuo believes Apple will continue to use the same 3D Touch technology that it currently uses on the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
3D Touch has been one of the main selling points for the new iPhone 6s models, claimed to be ‘the future of multi-touch’ by Apple.
