2018 In Tech: What To Look Out For, And When

Moore’s law observes that the number of transistors in the average integrated circuit doubles roughly every two years. This can also be observed in other areas of electronics like pixels on digital cameras and memory capacity on storage devices. To give you an edge over your friends in these technological conversations, VR Zone explores 2018’s most important tech events and leave you a list of dates and names to keep a look out on.

This list is a (necessarily not exhaustive) compilation of conferences, shows and summits at which technology has been released. We could expect the most groundbreaking tech of the year to be announced at any of these events, although some launches have been independently scheduled outside these dates.

Consumer shows include trade shows showcasing ‘consumer’ technology: laptops, mobile devices, cameras, audio and intelligent home devices. “Specialist” events include that relating to hacking, programming, AI, VR/AR, or other general geeky goodness that mere mortals might have to strain to understand.
