2013 iPad event venue starts being decorated

A couple of days ago Apple confirmed that its 2013 iPad event is going to take place on October 22. The event venue is now being decorated ahead of the event next week.

The 2013 iPad event is going to take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Apple has used this location for a number of product announcements in the past as well, the original iPad was unveiled here back in 2010. The graphics seen on the decorations match the invitations that Apple sent out a few days back for the event.

It was rumored last week that Apple will conduct its iPad event on October 22. Soon after that, the company rolled out invites to confirm that the event is indeed going to take place on that day. At the event, Apple is expected to unveil the iPad 5 and the next generation iPad mini. Apart from that, it is also expected to launch an updated MacBook Pro lineup as well as reveal a public release date for OS X Mavericks.

The new iPad announcement is perhaps one of the biggest tablet related announcements of this year. Apple’s full fledged iPad is expected to get a new design, almost two years after the iPad 2 was released. The iPad mini is expected to get a Retina display. It remains to be seen when Apple will ultimately release the new tablets in the market.
