World’s First 3D Printing Pen coming in September for $75

The world's first ever 3D printing pen is taking 3D printing a step further by allowing people to "draw in the air" and "lifting people's imagination off the page".

If everything goes as planned, the world will get the first 3D writing pen sold for just $75. Christened as the 3Doodler, it enables you to lift flat sketches off the paper and actually draw in 3D. The renderings look impressive and the technology is phenomenal.

Currently, this is a Kickstarter project that has already raised over $1,600,000 with the first units expected to be shipped in September. Judging by the massive support for the project already, a lot of people are really excited at the concept.

The device will be 24mm thick and weigh less than 200g with an external power brick that accepts 110-240V. If it works out as well as the creations on the Kickstarter page, this will become a must-have tool for hobbyists.
