WebOS To Be Incorporated In HP Tablets And Printers


With the acquisition of Palm, HP also will own the patents for the Palm WebOS operating systems. According to news reports, the manufacturer intends to incorporate the WebOS into tablets as well as printers.

US$1.2 billion was the price that HP used to acquire Palm last month, and the manufacturer also owns all the patents, including the popular WebOS operating system. According to news sources, HP CEO Mark Hurd said the company plans to use WebOS in a variety of products, including slates (or also known as tablets) and web-enabled printers.

And from earlier news, HP is intending to introduce their new slate device, the HP “Hurricane” based on WebOS.
