Verizon Droid Maxx 2 gets updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Droid Maxx 2

Shortly after rolling out the final Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Droid Turbo 2, Verizon Wireless has now started seeding the same for the more affordable Droid Maxx 2.

The Android Marshmallow update for the Motorola Droid Maxx 2 includes a number of new features such as Google Now on Tap with contextual results, Doze mode, app standby, greater control over app permissions, app links, expandable storage, do not disturb mode, improved volume controls, Direct Share, and more.

In case you have received the update notification on your Droid Maxx 2, do make sure that you first connect to a Wi-Fi network before downloading the OTA update. If you haven’t received any update notification yet, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings – About Phone – Software Update.
