TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3200 Review

Testing Setup:

  • AMD 3800+ NewCastle

  • Asus A8N SLI Deluxe

  • 2 x 256Mb Twinmos Speed Premium in Dual

  • Asus GeForce 6800 Ultra PCI Express

  • Antec TruePower 550W

Note: The Asus A8N SLI board was voltage modded to be able
to tune voltages from 2.8v to 3.5v. The Dimm voltages are measured from the
mosfet leg of the board with a multimeter.

The stability of the memory is tested by running loops of 3D
Mark 2001 memory intensive tests (Car and Lobby Tests).

We first start off with the relatively mild settings:

1T/2T Timing: 2T
Cas Latency: 2.5
Ras to Cas Delay (Trcd): 3
Ras Active Time: (Tras): 8
Row PreCharge Time (Trp): 3

This is how the Memory scale with voltage at the settings:

This seems to be the timings that the memory is adept at running
at low voltages such as 2.8v. We notice a relatively uniform scaling with this
setting, but the steep turn seems to step in when voltage increased from 3.0v
to 3.1v.
