TRENDnet Wireless-N Router Comparison: TEW-691GR vs. TEW-673GRU

Now let’s take a look what is underneath that shiny black hood.

The 691GR is powered by a Ralink RT3883 system on chip (SoC) running at 500MHz. The SoC also contains a 3T3R 802.11n transceiver

Gigabit connectivity is handled by an Atheros AR8316 5-port gigabit controller. The router has 8MB flash and 64MB RAM.

Underneath those three RF shielding are the 2.4GHz radio amplifiers, and they are connected to the antennas via U.FL connectors.
