In today's news roundup:

  • Word has it that photographs of motherboards designed for use with AMD's upcoming Liano and Zambezi APUs have started leaking on the Internet;
  • OCZ is apparently planning to show off some new products at the upcoming Computex exhibition in Taipei such as its new Indilinx SATA 6.0Gbps controller, a few new RevoDrive and Z-Drive PCI-Express based SSDs and a new HDD/SSD hybrid drive;
  • After close to a month of denying it, Apple has finally admitted and confirmed what many have been suspecting – that it has seen a significant increase in the number of reports of its user base being compromised by a trojan horse that had been making its rounds in cyberspace since the beginning of May;
  • A tweet published by the US branch of Samsung's mobile business devision claims that Samsung's new Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, which is also a "replacement for another tablet with the same name", will supposedly be launching in "just a few days time";
  • Square Enix has reportedly dropped some hints on what appears to be a new massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) making its way to gamers this year, and
  • Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that two of its most elusive titles, Agent and Max Payne 3, are still in development.

Photos of next-gen AMD boards from MSI, Gigabyte leak
Description: As AMD's next-gen Llano and Zambezi processors draw closer and closer to release, pictures of matching motherboards are somehow finding their way into the wild. Today, we received some teaser photos of what looks like an MSI Socket AM3+ motherboard based on the upcoming AMD 990FX chipset:

OCZ gearing up for Computex 2011
Description: OCZ is obviously ready for the upcoming Computex 2011 and it looks like it will be an interesting one, at least as far as OCZ is concerned. OCZ apparently plans to show its new Indilinx SATA 6.0Gbps controller, some of the new RevoDrive and Z-Drive PCI-Express based SSDs and a new HDD/SSD hybrid drive.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Coming in a Few Days With Android 3.1

Furthermore, as clarified in another tweet from Samsung, the new version of Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be sporting the latest version of Honeycomb AKA Android 3.1. Microsoft dumps Taiwanese vendors for upcoming Windows tablets?

Description: Today, Take-Two Interactive reported its earnings for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011. In a conference call afterward, executives confirmed that two of the most elusive games in its development pipeline are indeed still in the works.

Age of Conan Going Free-to-Play
Description: Age of Conan developer Funcom has announced that its low-fantasy MMORPG will be switching to a hybrid free-to-play model, akin to the sort of model used by Lord of the Rings Online, EverQuest II Extended and Champions Online. Funcom is no newcomer to the free-to-play scene, in fact they helped pioneer it in the western market when Anarchy Online switched to an advertisement-supported model in 2005.
