STGCC 2017 adds live gaming championships and more for its 10th anniversary

There’s now even more to experience at the 10th annual Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention 2017, which takes place at Marina Bay Sands from 9-10 September as the convention delivers on its promise to host a spectacular 10th anniversary event!

 

Held at STGCC’s Good Game Experience (GGXP) zone in partnership with Gam3.Asia and Asus, STGCC will host the ROG Masters 2017 DOTA 2 Singapore Qualifier and ROG Masters 2017 CS:GO Singapore Qualifier, with a total prize pool of SGD$10,000 for each finals. The champions of the two qualifiers will also receive a sponsored trip to the Philippines from 26-29 October to represent Singapore in the APAC Regional Qualifiers.

In addition, the there will be a Vainglory Singapore Championship event with a total prize pool of USD$5,000.

For comic fans the Convention has updated it’s star-studded guest line-up with the addition of Disney artist James C. Mulligan (US), and Marvel Comics editor and talent scout, C.B. Cebulski (US), who will give budding artists one-on-one reviews (you can send in your portfolios here)

J-Pop music fans will be delighted to know that Japanese dance vocal groups Color Pointe (JP)and Tokyo CLEAR’S (JP) will be making appearances at STGCC, along with composer Yunomi feat.nicamoq (JP), producer group REDSHiFT (ID), and DJ MarGenal (JP).

For toy collectors STGCC has just announced the inclusion of the prominent brand The Beast Brothers (MX), Sorbet Jungle’s founder DeAnne George (US), and Japanese toy designers Hinatique (JP) and Yasu (JP), both of whom are making their first ever appearance in Singapore.
