Sony’s PlayStation 4 will include 33 titles by end of the year

Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 will have a total of 33 titles by the end of the year and 180 games are currently in development for the console.

Sony has announced yesterday that the PlayStation 4 will launch on November 15th in Canada and the U.S., and November 29th in Europe. European markets include countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Sony is also going to launch the console in the following Latin American countries on November 29th: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru.

The PlayStation 4 will be available for $399.99 in the U.S., and will cost £349 in the U.K. and €399 in other European territories. Sony has confirmed that by the end of the year, there will be 33 games available for the console, with 21 of those games confirmed to be available the day the PS4 launches. Fifteen titles will be available on Blu-Ray discs as well as digital downloads, while the other games will be distributed digitally. The games available on launch day include:

  • Battlefield 4 (DICE)
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts (Infinity Ward)
  • Need for Speed: Rivals (Ghost, Criterion)
  • Watch Dogs (Ubisoft Montreal)
  • Minecraft (Mojang)
  • Killzone Shadow Fall (Guerilla Games)
  • Skylanders Swap Force (Vicarious Visions)
  • FIFA 14 (EA Sports)
  • Madden NFL 25 (EA Sports)
  • NBA Live 14 (EA Sports)
  • NBA 2K14 (2K Games)
  • Just Dance 2014 (Ubisoft)
  • Knack (SCE Japan Studio)
  • DC Universe Online (Sony Online Entertainment)
  • LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (TT Games)
  • Warframe (Digital Extremes)
  • DriveClub (Evolution Studios)
  • The PlayRoom (Sony)
  • War Thunder (Gaijin Entertainment)
  • Tiny Brains

Aside from these games, the PS4 will also include a bevy of indie titles.
