Sony Xperia Z Ultra already available in America for $800, coming to UK September 12 for £600

If you want something big, bad and hot and aren’t willing to wait it out for when Samsung will make the Galaxy Note 3 available, Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra might just be the perfect device for you. Only the 6.4-incher is itself hard to score… for now.

Hard, but not impossible, at least not on American shores and if you don’t mind splashing the cash on it. Negri Electronics apparently has the white and black HSPA+ versions (aka C6802) in stock, while the purple is sadly backordered.

All three models are priced at an almost outrageous $799.50, but hey, you can’t cut in line and expect to be treated very “fairly”, can you? At the same time, it’s not like other retailers will afford to sell the splendid Z Ultra at a much better price (for us, not them). I reckon we could see some going as low as 700 bucks, but likely not a penny lower.

And if you want the 4G LTE connectivity “luxury” too, expect to pay even more. Not much more, but still. Namely, Negri Electronics has the C6833 (the LTE-enabled variant) of the Z Ultra in white, black and purple on pre-orders for a luxurious $839.50.

Meanwhile, it has become official: the giant will hit UK before September 15. Three days before, not two, with Unlocked-Mobiles promising “next day delivery”. British blokes can for now only pre-order the Z Ultra and should be ready to cough up a whopping £599.98 ($911) for the “phablet”.

Finally, our Hong Kong and Malaysian readers should be happy to hear the Z Ultra is out and about near them, going for starting prices of HK$ 6,198 ($799) and RM 2,299 ($706) respectively. Is it just me or does the entire world seem to want this super-slim, Full HD screen-toting, explosive quad-core Snapdragon 800-packing beast?
