Sony Singapore offers integrated entertainment across devices and screen sizes


Today, Sony Electronics Singapore showcased their new products including BRAVIA TVs and Xperia Android smartphones, which bring about integrated entertainment and communication to users, and letting them have the convenience of sharing the content on different platforms.

Sony Xperia sola

The Sony Xperia sola was announced last week, and today we managed to get a hands-on of a working prototype. The smartphone features Near Field Communication, and with the Smart Tags, you can personalize the type of apps to launch when the tag has been scanned. The Xperia sola also comes with "floating touch" navigation, which only works for web browsing and manipulating the live wallpaperon the home screen. It sports a 3.7-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and is equipped with 1GHz dual-core processor. The Sony Xperia sola will be available in Q2 this year.

Sony Xperia U

The first thing that caught our eyes on Sony Xperia U is the illuminating transparent strip on the phone that can adapt its colors to match the display. The Xperia U is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor and features 3.5-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA engine, 5-megapixel camera with fast capture and high definition recording, and incorporates xLoud and 3D surround sound audio technology. It will be available in Q2 2012.


Sony Xperia P

The Xperia P is designed to deliver an ultra-bright viewing experience with Sony’s WhiteMagic display technology on its 4-inch Realityy display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine. It is equipped with 1GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, and is NFC-capable. On the left is the SIM card slot, HDMI output and microUSB port. The camera shutter, volume control and power button are on the right. The Sony Xperia P is also scheduled to launch in Q2.

Sony has also introduced their new range of BRAVIA TVs – the flagship HX, elegant NX and entry to mid-level EX series. The Sony HX855 and NX650 feature the company’s distinctive Monolithic design and Corning Gorilla Glass for durable screens. The HX855 incorporates X-Reality PRO and Motionflow XR 800 technologies that provide crisp, seamless video viewing. It is also fully Internet-connected with built-in 3D that offers an immersive cinematic experience.
