Sony Singapore Launches New 3D BRAVIA TVs And Blu-ray Home Theatre System


This morning, Sony Singapore announced their new BRAVIA NX810 and NX710 3D TVs, and BDV-IZ1000W Blu-ray home theatre system. The new range of 3D entertainment solutions will be available at all authorized retailers in October.

At the event, Taisuke Nakanishi, Managing Director, Sony Singapore, talks about the company continuing to be the leading brand in the latest visual expression of high definition.

“Sony will not just rely on technology and hardware, but also our unique approach of developing software to expand 3D entertainment. The time has come when the complete high-quality 3D entertainment previously enjoyed only in cinemas, now can be enjoyed at the comfort of your own home,” Nakanishi said.

“”Sony has been aggressively conducting various activities as official FIFA sponsor since 2007. Among the global marketing activities we have is the most recent World Cup which was perhaps the greatest impact to our BRAVIA TV retail store intiative. Over a total of 64 World Cup matches, Sony showed and edited 25 games in 3D and 12 hours of all the matches, 3D content were shown on BRAVIA 3D TVs in approximately 4,150 retail stores worldwide,” said Haruhito Tanigawa, Director, Head of Consumer Electronics, Sony Electronics Asia Pacific.

Tatsuo Takahashi, General Manager, Display Marketing, Sony Electronics Asia Pacific shared some insights on the history of 3D and the historical trend of 3D release in the world.
