In a press release by Sony Japan, a 360-degree 3D display was revealed. This cool looking prototype device will be showcased in Digital Content EXP0 2009, held in Tokyo.

In a press release by Sony Japan, a 360-degree 3D display was revealed.
This cool looking prototype device will be showcased in Digital Content
EXP0 2009, held in Tokyo.

The 13 x 27cm device comes with a stereoscopic 24-bit color image measuring
just 96 × 128 pixels viewable at 360-degrees without special glasses.

Lots of possibilities can be derived, including 3D photo frames, virtual pets or perhaps even a cute moe (??? anime character in it.
