‘Sleek’ to be the name of Samsung’s new superphone?

Samsung may already have a name for their next blockbuster smartphone. Called the "Galaxy Sleek", will this phone live up to its name?

The Korean electronics giant Samsung is on the move again. With their latest GALAXY Nexus in line for release just a few weeks from now, the company has filed yet another trademark application for the name “Samsung GALAXY Sleek” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The range of goods and service which comes under the trademark apparently includes smartphones and tablet devices. While the selected family of device is not surprising, it also seems to indicate that Samsung is taking good measures not to reveal anything about the intended device that will bear that name. The GALAXY series is reputed for high quality products with refined aesthetic in a complete package, thus the use of the word ‘sleek’ feels like it may be another milestone product. Nonetheless, only time will tell as we wait for the next big thing from Samsung.  Meanwhile, we can all enjoy the upcoming GALAXY Nexus which boasts to be the first phone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
