Samsung Expect DRAM Shortage In H2 2004

Seasonal PC and cellphone demand is expected to cause spot DRAM shortages in the second half of 2004, according to Samsung. The DRAM picture will improve in the second half of 2004 and there will be spot shortages. Potential shortages will not impact ASPs. At present, Samsung itself is experiencing shortages of select parts, especially leading-edge, DDR2 SDRAMs.
