Rumor: LG G2 coming with 5.2-inch Full HD screen, minimal bezel, 13 MP OIS camera

We’re likely about a month away from LG G2’s formal intro, but for some reason the rumor mill’s grinding is increasing in intensity. It’s been literally hours since we heard the beast will come with a record-breaking 3 GB of RAM in tow and now there’s a new report further detailing its specs.

This one is a little more suspicious, as it contains an array of new data, but it does come from a usually reliable source – Greek online publication Techblog. The thing is the website calls the phone the Optimus G2, which only increases our doubts given LG has practically confirmed it’ll drop the “Optimus” moniker soon.

Regardless of all that, let’s sink our teeth into the new rumors as they’re extremely juicy. Are you ready for this? First off, the LG G2 is said to sport a smallish 5.2-inch Full HD screen, despite that old @evleaked photo that seemed to point at a 5.5-inch screen.

Why did the phone look so big then? Because the bezels were super-slim, making the screen real estate that you will actually use bigger than the one on the 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro.

Moving on, TechBlog says the G2 will pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (which is the standard in mobile speed, at least until Intel’s Bay Trail becomes commercially available), but also 2 GB of RAM.

LG G2-2

2? I thought it was 3. Well, it will likely be 3 in the LTE-Advanced variant that will exclusively hit Korea, but 2 everywhere else. Bummer, yeah, but you probably don’t need 3 GB of memory anyway.

And now for the best part – if this new report is to be trusted (big “if”, remember), LG’s next crown jewel will come with a top-notch 13 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus no physical buttons on the front or sides. And that includes Android navigational buttons.

Why is that the best part? I don’t think I have to explain the OIS cam’s wow factor, while as far as buttons go, LG’s approach will be different and different is most of the times good. Right?
