Retro-Bit’s Super Retro Trio consoles bring back old-school gaming

Most of us grew up in the golden days of gaming where NES ruled the world, with SNES and Genesis coming soon after to dominate the industry. Innex and Retro-bit have created a console that transports gamers to the past and allows them to relive the nostalgic era of gaming with the all-in-one Super Retro Trio.

Remember those early days of your youth when NES ruled the gaming world, and iconic pixilated characters like Link, Mario and Samus heralded one of the most magical eras of gaming? Remember spending dozens of hours battling incredibly hard bosses or navigating labyrinthine maps, with your monthly copy of Nintendo Power on hand?

If you grew up in the late 80's and early 90's, chances are that your weekends were centered on consoles like the NES and SNES and their dazzling library of games.

Decades later, gamers still treasure those nostalgic journeys to the golden age of gaming; the only problem is that most gamers don't have their old systems any more, and they can sometimes be hard to find and cost a pretty penny.

With the Super Retro Trio (SR3), gamers can return to those golden days of old-school 8-bit and 16-bit gaming with a 3-in-1 console that plays nearly all NES, SNES, Genesis / Mega Drive and Game Boy Advance titles.

The SR3 from Retro-Bit retails for $69.99 and contains 3 cartridge slots, 6 controller ports (2 for each respective system) that are compatible with original or third-party controllers, and comes with an S-Video and AV cable to display each of the three different system types.

SR3 Specs:

  • Compatible with most original game cartridges from NES, SNES, Genesis
  • Compatible with GBA games with the SRA (sold separately)
  • 6 Controller Ports
  • 2 Controllers Included
  • Genesis / Mega Drive Cartridge Region Switch
  • S-Video Connection
  • AC Adapter

The Super Retro Adapter (SRA) brings seamless integration of your favorite GameBoy Advance games, and even has a GTA link cable port to allow connection of up to three GameBoy systems for 4-way gaming.

SRA Specs:

  • Compatible with GBA games
  • Works with original and third-party 16-bit consoles
  • GBA cable port to link up to 3 GameBoy systems (cable sold separately)
  • 4-way gaming capability

Retro-Bit's Super Retro Trio (SR3) and Super Retro Adapter (SRA) are slated for a release in summer 2013 and will be distributed by Innex Inc., a company that has a wide variety of accessories and peripherals for current and classic consoles.
