Research In Motion (RIM) have announced its collaboration with 7digital to bring over nine million tracks to BlackBerry PlayBook users in Singapore through a new Music Store app. The app is part of the latest software update for the BlackBerry Tablet OS (v 1.0.7) and it allows music fans to search for songs, albums and artists as well as preview tracks before making a purchase. According to RIM, the price could range from S$8 to S$12 per music album, depending on the album. However, at the evening, we did not manage to find Lady Gaga original albums from the Music Store app.

Customers can also discover and download new music through 7digital’s recommendation feature that highlights tracks from the eclectic catalogue of high-quality (320kbps) MP3s. The new Music Store app for the BlackBerry PlayBook is part of the free software update that is now available for all BlackBerry PlayBook users in Singapore to download.

To update the OS, simply select ‘Check for Updates’ from the Software Updates screen on their BlackBerry PlayBook and follow the instructions.
