The wait is over. Today, Research in Motion (RIM) introduced the new Bold 9700 in Singapore which features a stylish and compact design, QWERTY keypad and a new touch-sensitive trackpad.

The new Bold 9700 (left) is smaller and slimmer than its elder sibling. As you probably observed, the navigation ball in the middle has been replaced with a touch-sensitive trackpad. (And its really very touch-sensitive.)
