Render shows Sony’s 2017 Xperia models ahead of MWC 2017

Ahead of Sony’s Mobile World Congress 2017 press conference tomorrow, alleged press renders of four new 2017 Xperia smartphones has been leaked by Evan Blass. Going by recent reports, it looks like the models on the left will be mid-range smartphones, while the two on the right could be high-end models.

Back in January, a report had claimed Sony will be launching two mid-range models this year – the G3112 and G3221. While the G3112 is expected to sport a HD resolution display, the G3221 will feature a 1080p resolution display with a 23MP rear camera and 4GB of RAM. One of them could be the successor to the Xperia XA, while the other looks like it could be the Xperia XA Ultra 2.

The third model from left does appear to be very similar to the Xperia XZ from last year, which could mean that we could be looking at the rumored XZs. It is expected to sport a Quad HD resolution display and run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Sony is also working on the Xperia XZ Premium, which we told you about earlier today. However, the Xperia XZ Premium is not expected to be out until June, so we don’t expect Sony to announce it at its press conference tomorrow.
