The Nexus 5 is back for a second round of leaks for the day, with a few screenshots allegedly taken on Google’s upcoming flagship confirming its specs and features.

Nexus 5

A leaked service manual had brought to light all of the Nexus 5’s specs, and the screenshots don’t reveal anything different, so we’re still looking at a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor (with almost a 300 percent increase in number of CPU operations per second over the Nexus 4), 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage, though there will also be a 32GB model, supposedly with a higher capacity battery.

The screenshots also confirm that the camera will be an 8-megapixel unit with a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, while revealing that the camera on Android 4.4 will gain features such as antibanding (which eliminates gradient effects in an image) and multiple focus modes, including auto, macro, and continuous modes. The Nexus 4’s camera takes some of the poorest pictures for a flagship smartphone, so here’s hoping the Nexus 5 brings some improvements on that front.

The Nexus 5 is expected to be unveiled next week, and, it doesn’t look like anything is going to surprise us when Google officially announces the device. Still, we can at least look forward to finding out what Android 4.4 will bring, as rumors up till now haven’t exactly revealed anything interesting.
