PlayStation Asia unleashes limited edition PS4 Gran Turismo Sports Edition, new Wireless Controller colours and drops PS VR price

Sony PlayStation fans in Asia now have more to celebrate as Sony continues to enhance the PS4 platform by expanding available peripherals and dropping the PS VR price to make it more accessible to gamers.

PlayStation 4 Gran Turismo Sport Special Edition

First up, in preparation for the mid-October launch of Gran Turismo Sport, the latest in the iconic Gran Turismo racing franchise, Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) will be making available a specially designed limited edition PlayStation 4 Gran Turismo Sport Special Edition, which will be available in Singapore in October at a suggested retail price of SGD$569. This edition features the PS4 console and wireless controller in a striking two-tone jet black and silver with the Gran Turismo logo featured in the centre.

The Gran Turismo Sport game is packed full of content, including unique Vision Gran Turismo concept models and prototypes developed by Bugatti, Aston Martin, and Mercedes Benz, as well as many other real cars for a total of over 150 vehicles to choose from in game.

These cars can be raced in 17 fantastic locations with 28 different course layouts from all over the world to enjoy. You can also compete against all of your rivals in races using with the ultra-realistic handling provided by the game’s new physics engine and the wealth of customisation options available

 

With the introduction of the world’s first FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) approved championships, users can now enjoy realistic high pressure Gran Turismo Sport competitions via online play.

 

New Wireless Controller colours

SIES will be releasing new colour variations for Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK4) in “Crystal”, “Red Crystal”, “Blue Crystal”, “Steel Black” and “Midnight Blue”. These controllers will be available on 17th October for a MSRP of SGD 67.90.

 

PlayStation VR price drop

Finally SIES has announced that the PlayStation VR and PlayStation Camera bundle has now been set at a new MSRP of SDG$579.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) announced today that it sets new manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the PlayStation VR (PS VR) and PlayStation®Camera (PS Camera) bundle at SGD $579. This new MSRP will be effective from 1st September 2017.

The number of PS VR software titles and experiences reached more than 140 globally and the number of developers and publishers has increased to more than 360, as of 29 May 2017, ranging from smaller independent teams to the industry’s top publishers as well as a range of entertainment companies across movies and music. There is a great lineup of games on the horizon, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR (Bethesda Softworks, LLC), Bravo Team and The Inpatient (Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios).

SIES will continue to vigorously promote PS VR and further enhance the entire PlayStation4 ecosystem by offering choices from a variety of hardware line-ups and continually releasing exciting new software titles.
