Panasonic launches G3 and GF3 interchangeable lens system cameras in Singapore

Panasonic has introduced another member to its family of LUMIX G cameras, the DMC-G3. Having gained a reputation for itself as the world's smallest and lightest interchangeable lens system camera, the DMC-G3 makes no compromise when it comes to image quality, featuring the newly-developed 16-megapixel LIVE MOS sensor to allow images shot in low-lit conditions with a high ISO sensitivity to remain stunningly clear.

Boasting the world's fastest level of Light Speed Auto Focus (AF) of approximately 0.1 second, users no longer have to worry about missing out on the action as the detection time has been reduced by doubling the drive speed from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second. With the combination of touch-control shooting, focusing is ever more quick and accurate thanks to the newly adopted Pinpoint AF. The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G3 features a touch-screen operation, thereby allowing users to just "touch and shoot". In addition, video quality is optimized as the DMC-G3 records 1920×1080 full high definition video in AVCHD format. An advanced AF system including practical full-time AF and tracking AF is available in video recording to allow every photographer to enjoy high quality video recording with minimum ease.

The DMC-G3 boasts a 3-inch free-angle Intelligent LCD with a large, high resolution wide-viewing angle that rotates 180-degree to the side and tilts 270-degree up and down, offering approximately 100% field of view. The free-angle LCD with touch-screen operation allows for both monitoring and adjustment of settings from any position that the user may be in. The Creative Control Mode has been improved to allow the user more control in selecting a desired color effect to complement his/her photos. With Photo Style comes the flexibility of customizing and controlling contrast, sharpness, saturation and noise reduction at the tip of one?s finger tips. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 will be available by end July 2011, price to be announced.

Panasonic has announced the DMC-GF3 which sports a stylish and diminutive stature, and claims to be the world’s smallest and lightest system camera. In compliance with the Micro Four Thirds standard, an interchangeable lens camera system that was designed and developed to optimize the characteristics of digital technology, the DMC-GF3 features 3D compatible lens and is also equipped with a built-in flash, thereby eliminating the need for an external flash to be affixed.

The DMC-GF3 is targeted at discerning individuals who are unique trendsetters in their own way, wanting to be creative and different. Boasting the features of a LUMIX G Micro System, the DMC-GF3 allows the user to expand his/her creativity when it comes to photo-taking and produces photos that are of a higher image quality.

The DMC-GF3 has improved colour control functions, and users can choose between a variety of creative filters to enhance their photos. Some of the popular colour styles include Expressive, Retro, High Key, Sepia, High Dynamic and a newly-added Miniature Effect mode. The presence of a wheel dial in the DMC-GF3 makes it even easier to speedily cycle through the options available on the camera or to make setting changes. It boasts a high speed, precision Contrast Auto-Focus system of approximately 0.18 seconds that makes it the world’s fastest and most accurate Auto-Focus system camera.

Video recording can also be a breeze with the DMC-GF3 as it records 1920 x 1080 full high definition video in AVCHD format, which is superior in both compression efficiency and compatibility with AV equipment for playback. With the smart and easy touch-screen control, the user can easily playback videos or adjust the camera settings with a touch of the screen.

Comes in five exciting colours to complement one’s personal style, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 will be available by end July 2011, price to be announced.
