Also of note is that the T|E is compatible with the new Java Virtual Machine (licensed from IBM). As stated by Palm, “Now, the more than 3 million members of the Java development community can write business applications for mobile workforces and consumer applications for gamine and information on the go, effectively increasing our development community tenfold.”

In other words, T|E users will now have more (in terms of variety and quantity) softwares to choose from.
