Just a few days back, Oppo announced the exciting new F3 Plus ‘selfie expert’ smartphone with dual selfie cameras. According to a new leak, the company will soon announce another new smartphone with dual cameras, this time at the back. The rumored device, which is likely to be marketed as the Oppo R11, will be very similar to the company’s hugely popular R9s smartphone in terms of design.
If rumors are to be believed, the R11 will feature a 5.5-inch sized display, while the R11 Plus is expected to sport a larger 6-inch display. Both models will feature dual cameras at the back, with a possibility of dual cameras on the front as well. Some wild rumors even suggest the R11 duo could feature Oppo’s 5x optical zoom tech that it showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona last month. Powering the R11 and R11 Plus will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 mid-range octa-core SoC, manufactured on a 14nm process node.
The Oppo R11 and R11 Plus smartphones are rumored to launch in early June, which means more leaks are expected to surface over the next few weeks. While we’re pretty sure the R11 and R11 Plus will be very impressive in terms of hardware specifications, we do hope Oppo will launch the duo with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box. The F3 Plus that it announced recently, runs on the outdated Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
