Olympus E-620

Olympus recently announced their latest digital SLR camera, E-620, which features a 12.3-megapixel High-Speed Live MOS Sensor, dual-axis variable-angle 2.7-inch LCD monitor and weighs a mere 475g.

Olympus Imaging has announced the latest addition to its consumer class of Four Thirds System-compliant E-System digital SLR cameras. The new E-620, which is scheduled for release in March, claims to be the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable lens type digital SLR to incorporate an image stabilization mechanism.

The E-620’s newly developed small image stabilization mechanism features a compensation effect of up to 4 EV steps. Weighing just 475g, it incorporates 12.3-megapixel High-Speed Live MOS Sensor and the new TruePic III+ image processing engine to capture pictures with superior quality.

It has a large 2.7-inch dual-axis variable-angle LCD monitor and features 7-point AF system for fast, accurate autofocusing and high-speed sequential shooting at 4 frames per second.

The Olympus E-620 is scheduled to be launched at end of March. No pricing details as per press time.
