NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Review: MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II OC

The MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II OC comes packed in a very attractive blue-themed box.

Removing all the protective foam reveals:

  • a driver disc,
  • a manual,
  • a quick user’s guide,
  • a mini HDMI to HDMI converter,
  • a DVI to VGA converter, and
  • two 4-pin molex to 6-pin PCI Express convertors

This MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti sample that we have with us comes with the award-winning Twin Frozr II cooler. The Twin Frozr II design employs a large heatsink with a copper base.

Heat is transferred efficiently from the copper base through four 8mm heat pipes, dubbed SuperPipe, to the high density aluminum fin array. Two temperature-controlled 80mm fans push air through the whole heatsink assembly, while keeping noise levels down at the same time.

Two 6-pin PCI Express power connectors are required for the GeForce GTX 560 Ti.

There are two DVI output ports and one mini HDMI port. Vents along the rear bracket will allow some of the hot air to escape.

The cooler looks pretty large, but only four screws are needed to hold it in place. Not much to see here, until we can get closer on the next page.
