Nokia officially confirms 41 MP camera on upcoming smartphone

With the latest teaser put up by Nokia, the 41 MP camera on the upcoming PureView powered Windows Phone is all but official.

Earlier this week, Nokia officially sent out invites to their upcoming July 11th invite. While the excited crowd already knew what to expect, the company went ahead and cleared all doubts from our mind. On the 11th of July, Nokia will announce the first 41 MP PureView Lumia Smartphone into the market.

On Nokia’s Conversations blog, a new post lists a few points as to why you should be excited for the upcoming event.

There’s a long list of reasons why you should be interested, including …

  1. You can watch it at home and you’re in charge of the refreshments… Beer maybe?
  2. You can watch it in bed, in your most comfortable PJs.
  3. You’ll be able to convince your grandchildren that you were there.
  4. You’re looking for originality.
  5. You’ll be able to stream it on your Lumia.
  6. You want to join the conversation.

You can watch the live webcast of the entire event on the Nokia Conversations blog, starting 11am EDT on July 11th (now’s when you hit the bookmark button).
