Next-gen Nexus 7 spotted at Bluetooth SIG, Android 4.3 confirmed

A recent Bluetooth SIG filing unveils the upcoming next-generation Nexus 7 running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Once again, the tablet is being manufactured by ASUS.

A recent filing at Bluetooth SIG (dated 27 May) reveals more information related to the next-generation Nexus 7 tablet. The documentation reveals the model number of the "7" tablet to be "ME370T." This 7 inch Nexus branded tablet is made by ASUS and packs updated internal specifications as well as a new high-resolution display when compared to last year's model.

The new Nexus 7 is said to come with a Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) 7 inch LTPS display, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core chipset (in favor of the nVidia Tegra 3 chipset). Android Authority reports a rather interesting observation; the device is running an unreleased "JWR11" software version, which we all suspect to be the unreleased Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build.

Tablet component suppliers hint at a July release for the next generation Nexus 7 tablet. We don't really expect much else to change, perhaps a better camera, more internal storage (non-expandable for sure) and a higher rated battery. The biggest attraction would be the high resolution Full HD display, a first for 7 inch tablets.
