Angry Birds

The Angry Birds Seasons has been rather quiet with no new update until few days ago. Well, there are only so many festivities in a year and we would assume that there won't be any more to add to the game. The good folks at Rovio has announced the new "Mooncake Festival" stages for Angry Birds fans. If you have not updated the game, it is time to do so now.

The Mooncake Festival is popular among Chinese, in China as well as the Asia region. And it is interesting to see Rovio, the company behind the popular Angry Birds game, coming up with new update for the Angry Birds Season using the Chinese holiday (in some countries) as theme. According to Rovio, there are 30 brand new levels with lanterns, pagodas and harvest moon. Besides the bonus stage which is unlockable when you get three-star achievement for every stage, there are also eight hidden pieces of mooncakes in the stages. Find all eight mooncakes and you will be rewarded with another bonus level. The Angry Birds Seasons – Mooncake Festival is available for download on the iPhone, iPad, Android and Symbian devices.

In addition, the Angry Birds Seasons also gets another the Mighty Eagle like the regular version. The Mighty Eagle is a one-time in-app purchase and costs US$0.99 / £.59 / €.79. Basically, you can use the Mighty Eagle to skip a level, unlock the next level so as to advance in the game. However, you are only entitled to skip one level every hour. The Mighty Eagle also lets you attain new highscores and achievements.
