New Leak Reveals Key Specifications of the Moto X (2017)

Some more info on the rumored Moto X (2017) smartphone has surfaced today, courtesy of leakster Roland Quandt from WinFuture.de.

According to Quandt, the Motorola Moto X (2017) is going to feature the model number XT180x and is codenamed “Sanders”. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage too, the Moto X (2017) will be available in two variants – 32GB and 64GB. As a recent leaked image had shown, the smartphone will come with a dual-camera setup at the back, a first for Motorola. Quandt’s info suggests the primary sensor will be a 13MP unit, but it isn’t confirmed if the secondary rear-facing camera will also be using a 13MP resolution sensor. Quite clearly, these specifications suggest the Moto X (2017) is going to be a mid-range smartphone, likely positioned below the Moto Z Play in the company’s lineup. Quandt also tweeted about another device codenamed “Albus”. It shares similar specs as the current Moto Z Play but features a 12MP camera at the back, instead of the 16MP snapper on the Moto Z Play.

In addition to the specs, a new alleged render of the smartphone has also been leaked, showing off the handset in Gold color option.
