New 3D glasses from Sanwa claims universal compatibility with most 3D-capable TV sets…supposedly

Sanwa also claims that the 400-3DGS001 3D glasses were designed with
comfort in mind. The 3D glasses feature weigh in at an extremely light
55g and can be used alongside existing eyewear such as spectacles, while
detachable nosepieces allow users to customize the glasses in order to
ensure maximum user comfort.

Still, we found it a little odd that Sanwa would opt to leave
out Samsung from the list of 3DTV manufacturers whose products have been
tested and confirmed to work with the 400-3DGS001 3D glasses. Then
again, with a relatively low retail price of only 7800 yen (approx US$95), we really won’t be surprised if the Japanese company’s 3D glasses are meant to offer universal compatibility with Japanese 3DTVs only.
